We believe in doing things differently. Our four core values—Insightful, Authentic, Dynamic, and Connected—define everything we do. You'll be empowered to make meaningful contributions, work with integrity, adapt to new challenges, and build lasting relationships.
You deserve to work in an environment that values your skills, supports your growth, and gives you the space to thrive. At Bentleys, you'll be part of a team that genuinely cares about your success.
About The Role
At Bentleys QLD, our Audit team works closely with clients to deliver clear, practical and high-quality assurance services. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting audit engagements across a diverse client base, including for-profit and not-for-profit organisations.
You will be involved in conducting audit procedures in line with Australian Auditing Standards, developing an understanding of client business processes, assessing risk and contributing to materiality decisions. Working alongside senior team members, you will assist in obtaining reasonable assurance over financial statements and contribute to the preparation of audit reports and management closing reports.
This role also provides exposure to direct client interaction, where you will participate in meetings with internal finance teams, help reconcile financial and operational information, and at times step into the Auditor in Charge role on specific sections of an engagement. Collaboration is key at Bentleys, and you will work closely with your team to share progress, ask questions and support the timely delivery of audits.
Alongside client work, you will be supported to build your technical capability through on-the-job learning, formal training and ongoing development opportunities, while managing your workload against budgets and deadlines with guidance from your manager.
About You
You are an accountant with a foundation in external audit and a genuine interest in building your career within a professional services environment. You bring at least 18 months' experience in a similar audit role and have exposure to IFRS and Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
You have completed a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline and are comfortable using the Microsoft suite, with some familiarity with audit software. You enjoy understanding how businesses operate, are technically curious, and take pride in delivering accurate, well-considered work.
As a team member, you are collaborative, dependable and proactive. You communicate clearly, manage your time effectively and take responsibility for meeting deadlines. You are also keen to support and guide junior team members and contribute positively to team culture, while consistently demonstrating the values that underpin The Bentleys Experience.
