About the Opportunity
As the Clinical Nurse Educator for District Hospitals in regional Tasmania, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the education, career development, and workforce capability of nursing and non-clinical staff across a variety of care settings-including inpatient, emergency, aged care, and community services. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Director of Nursing (DON), you will:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs tailored to the needs of staff and the organisation
- Promote evidence-based practice and support a culture of research, innovation, and person-centred care
- Work within a practice development framework to support continuous improvement and high-quality care across all services
- Mentor and support staff, fostering professional growth and a positive, collaborative work environment
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education, professional development, and training design
- Strong leadership, coordination, and workforce development skills, with the ability to engage multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
- Current driver's licence (essential)
- Postgraduate qualifications or working towards them (desirable)
