We have multiple opportunities for Site Engineers experienced in various construction disciplines including structures, roadworks, services, and rail systems. Work with a high-performing construction team on a key social infrastructure project in South Australia.
The Project
McConnell Dowell and CPB Contractors, in collaboration with design partners Mott McDonald, Arup, and Aurecon, have been awarded the Tram Grade Separation Projects as an Alliance. This involves work at three main locations along the Glenelg Tram Line to improve safety and traffic flow by removing and upgrading crossings.
The project includes replacing the existing overpass at South Road, removing level crossings at Marion Road and Cross Road, and replacing the Morphett Road crossing with tram overpasses, creating new public spaces.
The projects will be delivered by the Tram Grade Separation Projects Alliance (TGSPA) in partnership with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport.
Role Responsibilities
Support construction, installation, scheduling, costs, safety, environmental, and quality aspects of the project.
Coordinate with managers and superintendents on engineering, temporary works, and project status.
Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel.
Provide technical assistance to supervisory staff.
Report accurately and maintain project schedules.
Conduct engineering audits of temporary works as per schedule.
Prepare completion and commissioning plans for assigned work scopes.
Define scopes of work clearly and address discrepancies during project execution.
Position Requirements
Relevant civil/construction engineering tertiary qualification.
Preferably two years’ experience in a construction or engineering environment.
Ability to plan, organize, and deliver work on time.
Knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with others.
Construction Induction White Card.
Unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.
This role is based in Adelaide, South Australia. Applicants must be SA based or willing to relocate at their own expense. We are unable to consider interstate or FIFO applications.
