About the role
As a full-time Kitchen Hand Cleaner at Global Pies Pty Ltd in Berrimah, NT, you will play a vital role in helping pie producyion and associated jobs while maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment to support the production of pie production and other food products. This is a hands-on position that involves a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure our kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness.
What you'll be doing
* Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to food safety standards
* Help in the production of pies and sausage rolls
* Some food prep work. light lifting.
* Sweep, mop, and scrub floors to keep the kitchen spotless
* Properly dispose of waste and recycling following established protocols
* Assist the kitchen team with other basic tasks as needed
* Maintain a positive, hardworking attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in a similar cleaning role within the food service industry
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
* Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other manual tasks
* A team player with good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for commercial kitchens
