Manager AFDRS Program – NSW Rural Fire Service
Location: Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, AU. • Role seniority: mid level. • Temporary until 30 June 2027. • Full time, 35 hour week. • RFS Level 12/13. • Salary: $151,756 – $175,507 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
What you'll be doing
Lead the national Australian Fire Danger Ratings (AFDRS) team in partnership with the National Program Board, managing the development and implementation of new fire behaviour science and technologies, and coordinating across multiple disciplines such as social science, training delivery, and firefighting operations.

Qualifications and experience
* Excellent leadership, collaboration and project management skills.
* Strong background in science with advanced knowledge of bushfire behaviour science, modelling and research.
* Ability to work across disciplines such as social science, training delivery and firefighting operations.
