Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve high-quality meals and beverages that cater to residents' dietary and nutritional needs.
* Work closely with residents, dietitians, Registered Nurses, and the General Manager to contribute to menu planning.
* Monitor stock levels and communicating supply needs to the Chef Supervisor.
* Maintain food safety standards by effective implementation of the Food Safety Program (FSP).
* Foster a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment to work efficiently and confidently.
* Order supplies to align with menu plans and budget requirements.
* Independently plan and manage your workload with professionalism and care.
* Assist with other relevant duties within your skillset, as directed by the organisation
Essential Requirements
* A Trade Cook Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Food Handling Course and a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
* Proven experience working in hospitality.
* Experience in aged care cooking.
* Current National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
* Intermediate computer skills.
* Must meet Aged Care Worker Screening legislative requirements.
Highly Desirable
* Leadership experience in a kitchen or food services setting.
* Food Services Supervisor accreditation.
