About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a Records Disposal Program for legal and administrative records. This critical role ensures cost-effective storage and disposal of records while complying with regulatory requirements and best practices.

The Archivist will conduct appraisals of records, prepare recommendation reports, and transfer significant records to external archives for preservation. They will offer expert advice on record classification, retention authorities, and access directions, and provide guidance and support to Records Officers in managing record management procedures. Additionally, they will assist in complex inquiries, projects, and staff training under the guidance of the Records Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

* Certificate IV in Business (Records & Information Management) or a minimum of 3 years' experience in reviewing and managing archived records.
* Obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security clearance.
* Be able to safely and efficiently handle boxes weighing between 5 kg and 10 kg.
* Work onsite at the CSO Office five days a week.
