Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to contribute to the development of Statistical Data Science methods in the energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers at NIASRA and other members of the Hub.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and apply statistical spatial and spatio-temporal modelling techniques
* Implement physical-statistical modelling approaches
* Apply Bayesian inference and uncertainty quantification methodologies
* Design optimal experiments
* Integrate statistical machine learning techniques
* Model time series data
The appointee will collaborate with colleagues at the University of Western Australia, advancing the field of Statistical Data Science.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Statistics or a related discipline, possess excellent statistical modelling skills, be proficient in programming languages, and demonstrate effective communication abilities.
