About the Role
In this recently created role within our expanding Finance team, you will play a critical leadership role, working closely with the Finance Manager & mentoring a high-performing team of Accounts Clerks. You will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, budgeting & internal controls, while providing strategic insight that helps shape our future.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor & support our Accounts Clerks to drive a team culture of accuracy, accountability & continuous improvement
* Deliver accurate, timely financial reports and statements that inform decision-making across the business
* Oversee monthly management accounts, budget variance analysis, and KPI reporting
* Support annual financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and tax compliance (including BAS, FBT, and income tax returns)
* Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts and cash flow forecasts
* Monitor compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
* Collaborate with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
* Champion system improvements and leverage technology for greater financial efficiency and control
About You
You’re a strategic thinker with an exceptional eye for detail & a passion for developing people & processes. To thrive in this role, you will bring:
* CPA or CA qualification
* Strong experience in financial & management accounting, with a focus on compliance & controls
* Proven ability to lead & develop a team of Accounts professionals
* Exceptional analytical, Excel & financial modelling skills
* Outstanding communication & relationship building skills
* A proactive mindset & a solutions-focused approach
* Experience in tourism, hospitality, or family-owned businesses highly regarded
