What you'll deliver with us
As a Data Governance Application Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing and maintaining business-critical workflows for Data & Governance enabling technology, with a focus on the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform. You will work closely with data governance, compliance, and technology teams to streamline data stewardship, quality and governance processes. This role is essential in supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives enabling the Federated Data & AI Governance Community with technology and standard practices.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance of tools that facilitate data governance. Your role involves ensuring the smooth operation of governance tools, managing user access, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the continuous improvement of these tools to align with organizational governance policies and standards. You will leverage Collibra Workflow Designer, BPMN 2.0, and Groovy scripting to build scalable workflows that support Data & AI governance professionals and our data stewardship Community of Practice (CoP) to effectively manage data aligned with our frameworks.
You'll also
* Administer and maintain data governance tools, ensuring their availability, reliability, and performance.
* Support the implementation and configuration of governance tools to meet business and regulatory requirements.
* Support Collibra platform configuration, including domain models, asset types, and roles.
* Design and implement custom workflows using Collibra Workflow Designer (BPMN).
* Support data quality/ profiling activities, and enhance RegEx for continuous improvement
* Contribute to the development and application of standards, processes, artefacts, and tools associated with data governance.
* Manage Level 1 support for Collibra Data Intelligence Platform/Data Quality Application and monitor support queue
* Maintain and evolve the self-service knowledge base, how-to guides, FAQs, and training resources.
About you We are looking someone who has great analytical skills, with the ability to identify data quality & management issues. To do this we need someone to bring a solid understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, and data stewardship with them! We are looking for a collaborative individual who can speak with vendors who support our data initiatives and also with tool vendors for support, troubleshooting, and tool updates.
You'll also need
* Experience working with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform or another similar (Informatica, DataRobot) Data Governance tool, including hands-on workflow development.
* Knowledge ofcloud data platforms(AWS, Azure, or GCP) and how data governance tools integrate with cloud-native data ecosystems.
* Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements as they relate to governance tools.
* Background in developing and applying data quality standards, processes, and tools.
* Experience with managing user access, roles, and permissions within governance tools.
* Proficiency with BPMN 2.0 for business process modelling, Groovy/Java for scripting and REST APIs for integrating Collibra with external systems is all highly regarded
* Ability to create user tasks, script tasks, service tasks & manage workflow triggers, permissions, and applicability.
