Intake practitioner – cheltenham – full time

The Role

A pivotal role where you'll be at the heart of our screening services. Directly assisting our clients, including adults, children, separated couples/parents and families, you'll predominantly offer initial assessment via phone from our Cheltenham office and, optionally, from your home.

What you can expect to do in this role:

* Handling incoming inquiries and referrals over the phone.
* Processing referrals for Better Place Australia.
* Conducting initial screenings to ascertain individual needs and direct them to the right service pathway.
* Offering information, guidance, and referrals for counselling or dispute resolution needs.

What you will require:

* A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioural science field (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be adept in engaging and forming connections with individuals undergoing crises.
* A pronounced orientation towards customer service.
* A keen commitment to continuous learning.
* A genuine interest in Family Support Programs, Family Law, and Family & Children's Services program streams.
* Proven capability to collect and evaluate screening and assessment data to determine service accessibility.
* Robust administrative abilities.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.

Further Information

This Full-Time (1.0 FTE) role is based at our Cheltenham site however other locations may be required from time to time.
