The Opportunity
Due to our continued and expected growth, we are seeking a suitably experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with strong truck and trailer repair experience to join our BLTR Workshop Team operating in Bibra Lake to conduct all servicing, maintenance and repairs on our extensive fleet. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Volvo, Scania and MAN trucks. This role is perfect for an individual looking to develop their expertise in a dynamic and growing industry.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking and completion of scheduled maintenance, servicing, repairs and general fleet maintenance.
* Attending to breakdowns and diagnosis of maintenance problems.
* Completion of all necessary paperwork - job cards, maintenance checklists, work orders, service reports.
* Completing general heavy vehicle and mobile plant maintenance and repairs as required.
* This position does not involve rebuilding motors etc. – it is more about completing all the general servicing, repairs, scheduled maintenance and breakdowns on all plant and equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job to ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure that repairs and maintenance are carried out in compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Relevant licences and tickets
* Ability to complete tasks within timeframes
* Strong skills in time management and self-motivation
* Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, and good listening skills
* Experience in European and American trucks
* Relevant demonstrated experience with Prime Mover, Heavy Haulage Trailing Equipment in a similar role
Upskilling and Learning
* Opportunity for ongoing certification and specialized training.
