Maintenance Officer
Location: Geelong region – Wallington and Belmont. Full-time, ongoing. Monday to Friday plus occasional out-of-hours. Availability to travel between multiple sites.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our healthcare facilities. This hands‐on role involves reactive and planned maintenance, minor renovations, refurbishments, and day‐to‐day building services support across one or more sites.
You will work closely with site managers, the Building Services team, and external contractors to ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard and remain safe for residents, staff and visitors.
This role requires flexibility to travel between multiple sites and, on occasion, work outside standard hours to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform and coordinate building repairs and maintenance.
* Support minor renovations and refurbishments.
* Conduct carpentry, patching, painting, and basic plumbing repairs.
* Maintain heating/cooling systems, fire services, kitchen appliances, pools, and plumbing.
* Manage contractors and stock lists of tools, spares, and consumables.
* Assist with furniture transfers and general handy‐person tasks.
* Ensure safety and defect‐free environments for residents.
* Use Microsoft Office and industry‐specific software.
What You'll Need
* Trade qualification in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Carpentry, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in building maintenance (aged care or commercial).
* White Card.
* COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses).
* 2026 Influenza vaccination.
* NDIS Check (includes Police Clearance).
* Working with Children Check.
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
