We are partnering with a growing retail business to appoint an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer within their Furniture category. This is a newly created role, designed to support continued expansion and category growth. This opportunity will suit a commercially strong Buyer with deep product development experience and hands-on factory exposure across Asia. The Opportunity Reporting into senior leadership, you will take full ownership of a key furniture category, managing the end-to-end buying and product development lifecycle - from concept and sourcing through to launch, trading and performance optimisation. You will play a critical role in building commercially successful ranges while maintaining strong supplier relationships across offshore markets. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute seasonal range strategies aligned to margin and growth targets Lead end-to-end product development across furniture collections Work directly with offshore factories across Asia to develop, refine and commercialise product Travel internationally to supplier sites to manage relationships, quality and negotiations Negotiate cost prices, MOQs, lead times and trading terms Own critical path management to ensure on-time delivery Analyse sales performance, manage OTB and optimise category performance Identify new sourcing opportunities and emerging trends within the furniture market About You Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer within furniture or large-format home categories Strong product development background (not solely trading or replenishment focused) Must have travelled to factories across Asia and worked directly with suppliers on-site Confident negotiating directly with offshore manufacturers Strong understanding of materials, construction and quality standards within furniture Highly commercial with strong margin management capability Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced retail environment What’s on Offer Newly created role with real influence over category direction Autonomy and visibility within a growing business International supplier exposure Competitive salary aligned to experience If you are an experienced furniture Buyer with proven Asia factory experience and are ready to take ownership of a growing category, we would love to have a confidential conversation.
