Private residence in the Southern Highlands.
Looking for a reliable, experienced, long-term casual farm hand to assist with the daily maintenance of our home. The farm hand will be responsible for assisting with ensuring the property is kept in pristine condition by maintaining the interior to an exceptional level as well as performing daily farm hand duties.
The property houses a number of farm animals that require maintenance and monitoring including a number of household dogs. The ideal candidate will not only require a passion for animals but also previous experience handling animals.
Duties that require assistance as needed:
* Reporting of livestock health and welfare checks.
* Handling animals as required including horses, alpacas, and more.
* Assisting with veterinarian visits as required.
* Daily cleaning and maintenance of paddocks and pens.
* Monitoring water troughs and cleaning as required.
* Daily interactions with household dogs.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
* Confident in animal and livestock handling skills and ability.
* Experience with dogs.
* Ability to identify ill or injured livestock and treat and or act accordingly.
* Be confident, capable and discrete.
* Be meticulous and have a strong work ethic.
* Excellent time management.
* Ability to work a schedule that may include evenings and overnight stays, as well as house sit whilst owners are travelling.
* Must have flexibility to take on extra shifts as needed (essential)
* Must be willing to undertake an Australian Police Check.
* Valid and current Car license.
* Willing to work flexible and extended hours as required (Essential).
