Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Meat Quality Controller to join our organization. The successful candidate will have experience as an AAO or Meat Inspectors role within a red meat processing environment and hold a qualification in Cert.3 Or Cert.4 Meat Safety.
Main Responsibilities:
* Inspecting animal carcasses and parts to ensure product quality;
* Identifying non-conforming carcass materials and disposing of them appropriately;
* Providing support for other team members;
* Completing required documentation in a timely manner;
* Exhibiting a committed, punctual, and positive work attitude.
About the Role
The Meat Quality Controller will be responsible for inspecting animals, plants, and agricultural produce to identify product quality issues, and providing advice to producers. This involves auditing and monitoring quality procedures at farms and food handling and processing facilities to ensure compliance with required standards.
Key Requirements:
* Experience as an AAO or Meat Inspectors role within a red meat processing environment;
* Qualification in Cert.3 Or Cert.4 Meat Safety;
* Ovine experience is essential;
* Must pass a national police check;
* Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate in the vaccination process.
