Overview: We are seeking four enthusiastic and proactive RMIT students to serve as Student Ambassadors, working closely with our Social Media Coordinators. In this role, you will produce engaging content to showcase the vibrant RMIT community across multiple social platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Weibo, and RedNote). You will be responsible for filming, editing, and creating high-quality video and photo content, traveling between campuses as needed to capture RMIT’s dynamic events and culture. Job Responsibilities : Film, edit, and produce high-quality videos and photographs based on briefs provided by the Social Media Coordinators. Attend campus events and activities to capture live updates and engaging social media content. Pitch creative content ideas, contribute to planning meetings, and coordinate with the Social Media team to stay informed of upcoming initiatives. Offer a genuine, student-centric view of life at RMIT in all content produced, highlighting the diverse and vibrant campus community. Contribute to the development of social media plan and showcase your unique student perspective on life at RMIT. Job Requirements : Currently enrolled as a student at RMIT. Enthusiastic about RMIT and content creation. Familiarity with social media platforms with an understanding of social media trends and best practices. Proven experience in video content creation, including filming, editing, and storytelling. Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects and Lightroom) and familiarity with social media trends. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from the Social Media Coordinator. Outgoing and well-spoken, comfortable appearing on camera and be the face of RMIT. Must have a smart phone or camera to shoot content on your own. Able to commit few hours per week as needed and manage workload alongside academic commitments, with a willingness to prioritise this role even during exam or assignment periods. Reliable and accountable, with the ability to manage workload alongside academic commitments. Preferred Skills: Wide connections with student clubs and the broader student community are highly desirable. Experience with design or video editing tools are highly desirable. Familiarity with platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, RedNote and YouTube Shorts.
