This role is crucial in supporting the implementation and embedding of the minimum schooling guarantee for reading. It also involves strengthening numeracy practices where there is capacity.
The primary focus is to enable school leadership staff and teaching teams to implement evidence-based, consistent, and aligned strategies for the teaching of literacy and numeracy. This will improve learning outcomes for all students within the classroom.
The role will support the implementation of the multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework. This includes a focus on quality Tier 1 instruction, and processes and practices for Tiers 2 and 3.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support school leadership staff and teaching teams to implement evidence-based strategies for literacy and numeracy
* Enable schools to embed the minimum schooling guarantee for reading
* Strengthen numeracy practices in schools
Essential Requirements:
* Current registration to work with vulnerable people
* A registered teacher with full registration
Desirable Requirements:
* Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service Award
