THE PROJECT
Neurode Labs is building brain‐computer interface technology — and behind every meaningful dataset is a human who contributed it. As part of it we regularly need people to complete structured tasks using our BCI headsets, and we need someone to own the entire journey of finding them, enrolling them, keeping them engaged, and supporting them throughout.
This is a builder role. You'll inherit some early processes and make them yours — creating the playbooks, automations, and campaigns that let us recruit at scale without losing the human touch that keeps participants coming back.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Recruitment at scale
* Design and execute recruitment campaigns to enrol thousands of participants on tight timelines
* Run Meta ad campaigns to drive low‐cost participant acquisition
* Activate university networks — run on‐campus events, hackathons, and prize competitions to build pipeline
* Build and optimise automated email campaigns and outreach sequences
* Keep CAC low and conversion rates high — you track both obsessively
* Apply pre‐built vetting processes to screen and qualify incoming participants
* Iterate on those processes as you learn what works
* Manage enrolment communications end‐to‐end — clear, timely, on‐brand
Engagement & community
* Keep participants motivated through incentive programs, prize competitions, and community touchpoints
* Create marketing and onboarding materials that make the program easy to understand and exciting to join
* Build a participant community that generates referrals and repeat engagement
* Make sure participants are sticking to the program, and following through, by improving the design & through comms
Support & operations
* Own participant support — triage issues, resolve what you can, route what you can't
* Handle communications across email and, when needed, short calls to walk participants through issues
* Build automations and light scripts to remove repetitive work from your plate
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* 3–6 years in growth, community, recruitment, or a closely related function
* Proven ability to run high‐volume outreach or recruitment campaigns — you know what good conversion looks like
* Hands‐on experience with Meta ads and email automation platforms
* Light technical ability — comfortable with scripts and APIs to automate workflows
* Strong written communicator — you write clearly for different audiences without losing personality
* Comfortable building in ambiguity: you can take a brief and turn it into a playbook
Nice to have
* Background in community building or university partnership programs
* Familiarity with neuroscience, BCI, or adjacent tech spaces
WHO YOU ARE
* You're a builder — you don't wait for a perfect brief, you figure out what's needed and make it happen
* You hit targets — and when the obvious channels aren't enough, you get creative. You'll run a Meta campaign and a weird guerrilla stunt in the same week if that's what it takes
* Data‐driven without being robotic — you optimise for numbers but know that people respond to people
* Creative and resourceful: you find ways to reach and engage communities that others overlook
* You can run many workstreams at once and nothing slips — organised, systematic, dependable
* Warm and clear in how you communicate — participants trust you because you're straight with them
* You're based in Sydney and want to work in person with a small, driven team
