About the role
Airflow Air & Electrical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Tradesman to join our team based in Tuggerah, NSW. In this full-time position, you will be responsible of the managing service work from booking to completion as well as over seeing and organising day to day runnings for our installations teams.
What You Will Do as the Installations Leading Hand:
You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations and ensure smooth, efficient delivery of our installation projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading a small team, including tradesmen, apprentices and trade assistants.
* Perform high-quality installation, maintenance and service work of air conditioning systems including split systems, ducted systems and VRF systems
* Working with clients and builders
* Ensuring quality control
* Coordinating materials, tools and timelines without needing close direction
* Mentoring junior staff and teaching on the job
* Lead, shape and develop the team
Who You Are:
This role is suited to a confident and capable trade-qualified air-conditioning installer who is ready to step into a leading role. You will have:
* Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* ARC Refrigerant handling Licence
* Proven ability to lead a team, take initiative and work independently
* Confidence in mentoring and upskilling junior staff
* A solid understanding of residential and light commercial installations
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts
* A safety-first mindset and ability to support WHS on site
