This reputable, major bank is highly regarded and is a great opportunity for an experienced Production Support Engineer within their Market Data team.
Role Overview :
Play a critical role in maintaining market data infrastructure, resolve escalated desktop issues, and deliver upgrades and new deployments.
Duties and Responsibilities :
* Support and maintain market data infrastructure, including distribution platforms, enterprise feeds, trading venues, FIX post-trade feeds, and desktop applications.
* Troubleshoot escalated issues and manage upgrades, deployments, and weekend change activities to ensure system reliability and minimal disruption.
* Perform capacity planning and system monitoring, ensuring performance and availability of market data services.
* Integrate APIs and tools from Refinitiv (LSEG) and Bloomberg, supporting data delivery and desktop product functionality.
* Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions.
Skills and Experience required :
* Extensive experience as a Senior Production Support Engineer in banking or financial services.
* Skilled in supporting market data tools like Refinitiv Eikon, Bloomberg, or IRESS.
* Strong experience supporting applications on Red Hat Linux and Bash scripting
* Versatile in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, C#, or VB.
* Proficient in designing integration solutions with LSEG (Refinitiv) and Bloomberg APIs (e.g., RFA, SDKs, B-Pipe, BLPAPI).
* Strong technical knowledge of TCP / IP and DNS is a plus.
This small team supports critical operations of the bank, in addition to collaborating closely with the Market Data Engineering team to create seamless solutions.
