We're looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join the team at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre (Hahndorf) — one of South Australia's leading conference and event venues, hosting everything from corporate functions and gala dinners to weddings and private events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who enjoys high-volume service, delivering quality food, and working in a supportive team environment.
The Role
Key Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
Develop and design diverse and innovative menus tailored to various events and client preferences.Prepare and present dishes with consistency and excellence.Manage all aspects of the kitchen including, stock and wastage control, production schedules, food costing analysis, budgeting, and staffing levels.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.Positively lead, mentor, and manage culinary team to deliver a unique dining experience and signature offerings.Please note, visa sponsorship is not available with this position.
About You
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
Experience as Head Chef leading a fast-paced, large scale, premium event kitchen Min. 3 years Head Chef experienceCertificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Qualifications / certificates in HACCP, local Food handling & HygieneA positive attitude with a strong work ethicThe ability to thrive under pressure and multitask in a fast paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture The flexibility to work throughout the entire week including weekends and public holidays
