Job Description
Name of position: Occupational Therapist (Full-time / Part-time) Reports to: Director & Practice Manager The Role:
To provide high-quality, Occupational Therapy services to the children and families of South and West Gippsland. Our service area includes Pakenham, Warragul, Traralgon, Leongatha, Wonthaggi, Grantville and everything inside that radius. Currently, we are a completely mobile service with our team on the road 1-4 days per week with admin completed from home on a paid ‘admin day’.
Admin day hours are dependent on the number of days spent on the road and include time for supervision, team meetings, session planning, etc. Therapists travel is capped at 1 hour so caseloads are completely personalised to our staff based on their home location. Group programs are run over school holidays and offer the team opportunity to work together and break up their caseload.
We are also very excited to be opening our small clinic space in Longwarry at the end of May.
As we develop and begin to utilise this resource, the possibilities are wide open to negotiate the schedule that would best suit you. Work completely from the office, completely on the road/ from home or a combination of both. We hope to run a range of group programs and block therapy services in this space.
Options to set up your own special interest group to run in the afternoons after seeing a few clients in the morning or similar would be encouraged. We are open to anything and everything during this period of restructuring and building our service to better meet the needs of the community.
Hours: 1.5 – 5 days per week (10.5 – 38 hours). 9-day fortnights, school hours or other flexible options are possible. Responsibilities:
Travel to families in their natural settings including homes, schools and kindergartens, Provide best-practice therapeutic supports to clients either 1:1 or in groups, Manage own calendar within confides of the employment agreement (flexibility with start and end times of your day),
Keep thorough records for all interactions with clients including emails, phone calls, session notes, reports and resources developed, in the secure business system, Maintain own registrations and career development obligations, Fulfil the responsibilities negotiated with the client in the Service Agreement,
Timely completion of timesheet and expense reimbursement form. Key Competencies: Bachelors in Occupational Therapy or equivalent,
Professional registration with AHPRA, Interest and/or experience working with paediatric populations and the NDIS. Entitlements:
Salary ($80,000 - $115,000 pro-rata, dependant on experience), Fortnightly pay, Super: 11%,
