Automotive Electrician / Technician – RACQ

Join the RACQ Auto Team – Automotive Electrician or Technician Opportunity.

We are seeking dedicated Automotive Electricians and Technicians to join the dynamic team at RACQ Auto, where you'll deliver excellence and reliability to our valued members.


Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, ignition, battery, charging, and electronic control units (ECUs).
* Service and repair member, fleet, and staff vehicles in accordance with RACQ's fleet maintenance program – including passenger, light, and medium‑duty commercial vehicles.
* Perform electrical upgrades and installations, including accessories and aftermarket systems.
* Maintain and repair workshop electrical equipment as required.
* Compile and maintain accurate service and diagnostic records.


About You

* Trade qualified Automotive Electrician or Mechanic with strong automotive electrical experience.
* Proficient in diagnosing complex electrical and electronic faults using scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including CAN bus networks and engine management systems.
* Able to carry out work to a high standard in a safe and timely manner.
* Current C Class Driver's Licence.
* Able to complete pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record check.
* On‑site role, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 30 pm (with opportunities to support across other sites).
* Annual salary commencing from $80,080, negotiable depending on experience.
