About the role

We have an opportunity for a Team Leader - Corporate Records to be part of our Records Management Team in the Chief Data Office, Technology and Communication Services Command.




This is an exciting opportunity for you and your team to contribute to the retrieval, cataloguing, storage, and archiving of NSW Police Force’s State Records and State Archives. As the Team Leader – Corporate Records, you will be responsible for making professional decisions regarding record management, in line with the States Records Act, NSW retention and disposal policies, and standards for public offices.




You will bring strong people leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills. This includes building a supportive cooperative team environment and being adept at managing and developing people. You will also bring a strong commitment to customer service and enjoy working collaboratively with others to achieve your goals.




The role is an operationally focused role, responsible for the cataloguing, transferring, archiving, and disposing of historical operational records. You will be comfortable providing expert advice to staff across the Police Force on records management. As such, he role will require you to frequently travel to Police Area Commands and Police Districts to support records cataloguing, retrieval, and archiving across the state.



The successful candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) National Security Clearance within 12 months from commencement in the role.



You must also hold a Certificate IV in Records Management or be willing to obtain one.
