Job Title: Assistant Manager Grounds Maintenance
The Assistant Manager Property Services is a hands-on, physically demanding role that requires a high level of practical maintenance and upkeep skills. This position is directly involved in outdoor and indoor maintenance tasks, supervising staff and contractors performing manual work, and ensuring the safe operation of our College grounds, sporting areas, and buildings.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining high standards for the upkeep of College grounds, gardens, sports ovals, and courts
* Responding promptly to routine and urgent physical maintenance requests
* Supporting and assisting with building refurbishments and capital works, including physical site work
* Implementing preventative maintenance strategies to ensure compliance with safety regulations
* Coordinating and supervising physical maintenance tasks via the maintenance helpdesk system
* Ensuring a safe working environment through active Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance
* Building positive working relationships with maintenance staff and contractors on-site
* Assisting with physical set-up and breakdown of venues for College events
* Providing administrative support using MS Office Suite, including email correspondence, helpdesk management, and staff training
