The Role
We're looking for a PHI Business Analyst who thrives on complexity, collaboration, and making a difference. This senior role is your chance to be the trusted connector between health funds, government bodies, and internal teams, advising, interpreting, and turning regulatory change into real-world action.
Responsibilities
* Lead the conversation, represent HAMBS at industry forums and government meetings, raising their profile as a trusted voice.
* Decode and simplify complexity, interpret legislative and regulatory changes, then translate them into actionable insights.
* Bring people together, run workshops, share knowledge, and coordinate briefings that keep stakeholders aligned.
* Drive compliance and innovation, guide system and product updates so customers stay ahead of change.
* Be the industry pulse, monitor trends and provide timely advice to decision-makers.
What you bring
* 5+ years' experience in the PHI industry — you know the products, the players, and the regulatory landscape.
* Proven ability to work in a consultative manner with stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and facilitator across complex, multi-party environments. Skilled in building relationships, running workshops, and coordinating knowledge sharing to drive industry alignment and positive change.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to gather, interpret and document technical and business requirements. Experience translating complex regulations and data into practical recommendations, defining solution options, and supporting system changes that meet compliance requirements.
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, present, and consult at all levels.
* Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, or equivalent experience.
* Understanding of software delivery principles (Agile/Waterfall) is desirable.
