About the role
With an exciting brownfields hard-rock mining project on the horizon, we're seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations. Located near Southern Cross, these roles are offered on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth or a DIDO roster from surrounding towns.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring others
Manage and execute maintenance work using effective servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times and schedule compliance
Ensure that work is completed within budget and resources
Assist the Maintenance Manager and Superintendents in implementing safety plans
Play an active role in incident investigations
Develop and strengthen key internal and external stakeholder relationships
About you
You will be a high-achieving, team-focused individual with a collaborative mindset and drive to deliver in a mining environment; experience in open cut coal mining is preferred.
Mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
Extensive post-trade or relevant mobile maintenance experience in a mining environment
Previous supervisory experience
Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and the community
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proven experience in maintenance planning and condition monitoring
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Knowledge of relevant mining legislation
