About The Role
Culleton Lawyers is a busy law firm with offices located in Wollongong, Shellharbour and Port Kembla.
We are currently seeking a permanent full time Legal Administration Assistant to join our dynamic team.
As a Legal Assistant, you will play a vital administrative and organisational role, ensuring the smooth running of our legal operations.
What You'll Be Doing
* Assist with trust accounting and receipting
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, and organising diaries
* Assist with the preparation of legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and court filings
* Manage and maintain electronic and physical filing systems
* Conduct legal research and information gathering to support client matters
* Answer incoming calls and provide exceptional client service
* Coordinate with external parties such as courts, clients, barristers and other law firms
* Take detailed notes and transcribe as required
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or similar administrative role within a law firm or legal environment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and legal-specific software
* Experience with Smokeball is ideal but not essential
* Experience with trust accounting preferred but not essential.
