What does the job look like?
Reporting to the Site Manager, we are seeking a collaborative Inventory Manager to control all facets of inventory usage and storage requirements at our Truganina Site.
This position will contribute to increase company profitability by efficiently and effectively maintaining all inventory related activities, stock accuracy and product integrity for BevChain whilst adhering to safety standards to achieve operational excellence.
This is a permanent opportunity, working alongside leading beverage customers, operating Monday - Friday.
Key areas :
Oversee various inventory management activities, including the receipting process, damaged goods handling, order checking procedures, stocktaking, cycle counts, stock adjustments, credit returns, out of stock reporting, age stock reporting, product loss prevention, and product locations
Coach and develop a small team to ensure their continuous growth and development.
Set clear performance expectations, provide guidance, and support, and promote a culture of excellence and collaboration
Analyse inventory costs, evaluating pricing strategies, and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvement.
Assist with maintaining inventory budgets and forecasting inventory needs
Monitor and validate inventory movements to maintain accurate stock levels and data integrity including customer stock reconciliations
Lead customer stock take activities, adhering to customer timeframes and requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their requirements, and providing exceptional service
Implement robust control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, minimising discrepancies and risk

The ideal candidate will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to lead a small team.You can demonstrate :
Previous experience as an Inventory Manager within supply chain logistics / transport
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Proactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
