About the Role

Full time role: Salary Package includes House. Hours will include some weekends.

Ready for a change of scenery? Swap the hustle and bustle of city life for the wide-open spaces of Griffith, NSW. Pace Farm is seeking a motivated, hands-on Trainee Assistant Farm Manager who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their boots dirty. You'll join a dedicated team committed to the health and welfare of our birds.

This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in poultry farming. In this full-time role, you'll work closely with an experienced Farm Manager, gaining a thorough understanding of the farm's day-to-day operations. You'll receive practical exposure to people leadership and poultry management while building the skills needed to progress into future management roles at Pace Farm. The position is designed to establish a strong foundation in farm leadership, with clear development pathways and long-term career opportunities.

This role goes beyond learning the basics of farm management — it's about getting involved. You'll be expected to perform the same duties as our Farm Hands, from caring for the birds to maintaining sheds, playing an active role in keeping the farm running smoothly.

What You'll Do

* Assist the team in maintaining the health and welfare of the birds by ensuring adequate feed and water, including cleaning and maintaining sheds.
* Support the Farm Manager in daily farm operations.
* Work alongside the team to manage day-to-day tasks and keep the farm running smoothly.
* Participating in safety meetings and promoting a strong WHS culture.
* Collect and collate farm performance data and metrics.

About You

You're motivated, eager to learn, and serious about building a long-term career. Whether you've supervised or coached a team in some capacity, or you have an agricultural qualification or experience and are ready to take your first step, we're looking for someone who brings a proactive, "let's get this done" attitude to the farm. Previous poultry experience isn't essential, but it would be an advantage. Most importantly, you have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a positive, can-do mindset. Ready to make an impact? We're ready to meet you!

What You'll Need

* Proactive, eager to learn, keen attitude.
* Some prior experience of supervising or coaching a team would be desirable.
* A recent agricultural qualification or a strong interest in farming would be an advantage.
* General maintenance skills are a plus!
* Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
* Great communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
* Willingness to work extra hours during peak times.
* Basic Excel ability would be beneficial.

Why Pace Farm?

* Salary package includes a nearby house.
* A collaborative and inclusive work environment that fosters teamwork.
* Access to ongoing learning and development opportunities to support your professional growth.
* Enjoy regular free products and complimentary flu vaccines to support your well-being.
