We have an exciting chance for a Development Manager to join our Masterplanned Communities Development team, leading a key project on the Sunshine Coast. Based in either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, you’ll be part of a high-performing team shaping vibrant and sustainable communities that bring our vision to life.
The Opportunity - About the Role
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Development Manager will lead the delivery of a mixed-use town centre project, with a primary focus on delivering infrastructure and public realm to enable the creation of super lots for sale to third-party developers. Beyond core delivery, the role also involves identifying opportunities for enterprise value creation through supporting a proposed retail expansion with assessment of integrated built to rent opportunity, identifying alternative delivery models and undertaking strategic assessments of Stockland built form delivery opportunities.
Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, adaptability, influential leadership, and the capability to drive outcomes across diverse stakeholders with a holistic, enterprise-wide approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight : Develop and maintain financial models for both current and prospective projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Sustainability Leadership : Implement the Residential Sustainability Policy at the project level, promoting environmental stewardship.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Establish and maintain robust working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management : Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring meticulous execution of all phases.
- Market Analysis : Continuously monitor market trends and cultivate strategic relationships.
To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes, qualifications and experience :
- Collaborative Team Member / Leader : Demonstrated experience in multi-disciplinary teams with a collaborative and adaptive approach.
- Project Management Expertise : Proficiency in project planning, cost management, and risk assessment.
- Development Management Proficiency : Track record in development management, particularly ideally with land experience, but mixed use or commercial experience will also be highly regarded
- Stakeholder Management Skills : Exceptional ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Commercial Acumen : Strong commercial insight with significant experience in forecasting and financial management.
- Customer-Centric Approach : Focused on utilising customer insights to inform decision-making processes.
- Self-Motivated and Results-Oriented : Driven by results with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
- Educational Qualifications : Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, providing a solid academic foundation
