About The Role
As the Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients.
In this role you will:
* Assist with administrative tasks such as entering and updating patient records, and support with other duties as required by the Dentist
* Promote oral health to patients and maintain optimal hygiene of the surgery
* Support the dental team with a range of activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures
* Contribute to the cleanliness and effectiveness of the dental surgery environment
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients
Location: Enoggera
Enoggera Health Centre is located on Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares. The Health Centre provides primary medical, surgical outpatient, physiotherapy, dental, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
About You
As the ideal applicant, you will have:
* A minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years
* Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities
* A current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
* A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a nationally recognised equivalent qualification
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery
* The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
