Key Responsibilities
As the Network Technician, you will:
* Provide operational support for LAN, WAN, and Wireless networks to agreed service levels.
* Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure and hardware.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents using structured methodologies (e.g., OSI model).
* Assist in the provisioning and management of new network connections.
* Support third‐party data services to ensure contractual SLAs are met.
* Apply security updates, firmware patches, and maintain firewall rules.
* Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, IPAM, SOPs, and As‐Built documentation.
* Contribute to operational and project-based networking tasks across wired and wireless environments.
Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in:
* Supporting enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless infrastructures.
* Configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (Juniper, Cisco, HP).
* Working within multi‐vendor network environments.
* Applying security patches, updates, and managing firewall rules.
* Using network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, and CheckMK.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
* Clear communication and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience in a Network Technician role.
* Prior experience in enterprise LAN/WAN maintenance.
* Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CompTIA A+.
