About the Role
We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, enhancing their dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering person-centred care based on individual care plans, under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Clinical Care Coordinators. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure that residents receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate and personalised care as directed by the care plan and Registered Nurse.
* Monitor and report any changes in the health status of residents.
* Promote dignity, respect, and safety, ensuring residents feel valued and comfortable.
* Assist with medication administration following safe practices.
* Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
* Support residents with daily activities and personal care needs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Qualifications: Cert III in Aged Care, Individual Supports (Aged Care)
* Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within aged care or healthcare is preferred.
* Skills:
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Demonstrated empathy for the needs of the elderly.
o Strong organisational and time management skills.
