Principal Property Officer
My client is seeking a Principal Property Officer for a temporary contract role.
This position is perfect for a professional with significant governance and process experience in the property sector.
The contract runs until September 2026, offering a rate of up to $85.19 per hour.
About the Role
This temporary opportunity is within the Property Services Unit of a government department's Infrastructure Services Division.
You will be part of the
Acquisition & Divestment Team, focusing on assessing portfolio decisions and facilitating various property functions for assets.
The primary goal is to rationalize the tenure of the Early Childhood portfolio and continue to deliver benefits for the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-level analysis and due diligence for the Early Childhood portfolio.
- Extensive stakeholder engagement on procurement, tenure, land use, and commercial opportunities.
- Leading and managing property programs, including portfolio reviews and rental assessments.
- Analyzing risks and opportunities in third-party use and leasing programs.
- Providing timely, independent property and planning advice to stakeholders.
- Adopting a project management approach to complex matters.
- Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
You will be proactive and forward-thinking, with a strong motivation to achieve organizational objectives.
You should have solid research skills and well-developed written skills, including report and brief writing.
While not mandatory, qualifications or experience in the following areas are highly regarded:
- Site due diligence
- Property-related legal experience or conveyancing
- Town Planning principles, Leasing, and property-related policy and legislation
- Experience in leading the delivery of high-quality portfolio advice
- Awareness and understanding of relevant Queensland Government property legislation and policy
