People, Community, Environment, Innovation, and Integrity are their cornerstone values.They are looking to hire a Fleet Support Lead Engineer - Mechanical to become the subject matter expert for the operation of new piling machines in the field, being able to complete advanced fault finding across diesel and hydraulic systems and find solutions in challenging environments under time pressure. This new equipment system further advances their ability to deliver projects in more diverse soil types with greater efficiency.The responsibilities will be broad and will evolve but will include:
* Being a visible Safety Leader, proactive in continual improvement in the welfare of people interacting with the business.
* Fault find mechanical, hydraulic and electronic control systems in the field.
* Assume responsibility for machine mechanical performance in the field, be the subject matter expert on the machines and their operation.
* Attend field trials, complete daily maintenance on machinery, calibrate and verify machine performance.
* Attend testing sites, address mechanical failures.
* Review machine performance logs, work with R&D as new versions are released.
* Manage mechanical service partner and administer all WO's and Parts requests.
* Localize training content to the Australian market.
Requirements include:
* A background as a Heavy Machine Mechanical Fitter, Fleet Manager or Team Leader will be highly regarded.
* Leadership skills with the ability to communicate at multiple levels.
* Proven ability to develop and manage relationships.
* Demonstrated experience with heavy diesel machinery, specifically Cummins engines, and associated hydraulic and electronic control systems.
* Advanced fault-finding ability in machine mechanical systems.
* Affinity for mechanical machinery and equipment.
* Ideally experience within the materials supply and construction industry.
* Preferably experience within a business excellence environment.
* Excellent written language skills.
* A willingness to travel to remote sites.
* A valid Australian driving license.
* Australian citizenship or Permanent Residence.
