About the Role
The Warehouse Operator is a Full‑time position based at Lonsdale, SA. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will join our Gyprock Trade Centre and will deliver exceptional customer service and attain operational excellence within the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers.
- Assist with the day‑to‑day operations of the store.
- Deliver building materials to job sites using company vehicle daily.
- Manage stock movements and maintain stock levels.
- Load customer orders onto trucks for distribution, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
- Carry out warehouse tasks such as order picking, inventory counts, and general housekeeping.
- Unload inbound stock deliveries.
- Serve customers in the warehouse area, including loading vehicles with a forklift or manually when required.
- Ensure all documentation, labelling, and product presentation standards are met.
- Be available to work at other nearby stores when needed.
Hours
Your hours will follow an alternating weekly shift pattern: one week from 6:30am to 4:00pm, and the next week from 6:30am to 3:00pm.
About You
- Current forklift licence with sufficient experience and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
- Ability to lift and move heavy products as required (manual handling involved).
- A positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset in a fast‑paced environment.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety procedures are essential.
- Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Contribute to a constructive and innovative workplace culture.
