Job Description
We are seeking anExperienced Food Process Workerto join Midas Mediterranean.
Specifics:
Full-time employment term, PT and Casual positions also available,
Competitive salary of $60,000 (+ super & benefits),
Start time of 6:00am daily with midday finish on Fridays
(occasional additional hours to ensure customer demand is met),
Responsibilities of the role:
Independently operating and monitoring food processing equipment and machinery, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently,
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment,
Sort, wash, peel, and chop vegetables, ensuring they meet quality standards,
Measure and weigh ingredients accurately according to recipes or production requirements,
Assist in the preparation of food products by assembling and mixing ingredients as directed (including meat products),
Package finished products into appropriate packaging, following labelling and packaging guidelines,
Conduct quality checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging to maintain consistent standards,
Adhere to health and safety regulations and practices, including proper food handling of food products and personal protective equipment (PPE),
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines,
Report equipment malfunctions, product defects or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications
Requirements of the role:
Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing is essential,
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads(lifting up to 25kg boxes daily),
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately,
Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively,
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team,
Good understanding of English (written & verbal), basic Math's and can comprehend weighing scales to prepare recipes (covert kilograms to grams, etc. as required),
Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices,
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm, (including occasional weekends and public holidays),
Exceptional attendance and punctuality are a must.
