About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences to preservice teachers, ensuring their academic success and preparing them for successful placement experiences. The role demands proactive compliance with regulatory frameworks, enhancing student engagement, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging courses, including the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education (GDECE) and other relevant programs.
* Ensure the quality and compliance of each unit with established standards and regulatory bodies.
* Cultivate professional development opportunities to enhance teaching quality and stay current with emerging practices.
* Foster a supportive learning environment through effective communication and collaboration with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Incorporate feedback from students to continuously improve the learning experience.
* Participate in the investigation and resolution of incidents, adhering to WHS policies and procedures.
* Report incidents to relevant authorities, including potential breaches of code of conduct or health and safety risks.
About You
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher with a recognized postgraduate qualification in early childhood education. A minimum of 1 year of experience working in Australian early learning services is required. In addition, you will need to demonstrate high professional and ethical conduct, academic integrity, resilience, and a collaborative approach to teaching and sector engagement.
Requirements
* ACECQA recognized postgraduate qualification in early childhood education.
* Minimum 1 year of experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher in Australian early learning services.
* Strong understanding of Australian legislation, guidelines, operational requirements, and pedagogical frameworks.
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and proactively.
* Flexibility and a can-do attitude.
* Willingness to undertake continued professional development (at least 20 hours per year).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
