Walkaway Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our high-quality regional school.
Walkaway is a small rural town 28 kilometres south of Geraldton. The school caters for approximately 65 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, in multi-age classes.
Walkaway PS has a strong ethos of being a warm and caring community with a real family atmosphere, created by older students working with and looking after the younger students and a high level of community participation.
Role Description
Walkaway PS is seeking a Primary Teacher to fill a vacancy in our Year 5 and 6 classrooms. The successful applicant will be reliable, able to work as part of a team and committed to assisting students with special needs.
We are seeking primary teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues.
As a primary teacher, you will ideally establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, set high expectations, cultivate a growth mindset, and nurture students' social and emotional development.
