Day Surgery Nursing Position Overview
This is a dynamic and challenging role within our day surgery team. Your responsibilities will be centered around ensuring the efficient preparation, treatment, and recovery of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
* Patient admission involves accurately assessing patient information and vital signs to inform informed decision-making for their care plan.
The provision of pre-operative education empowers patients with knowledge regarding what they can expect during the procedure, thereby reducing anxiety levels.
The nurse also plays a pivotal part in maintaining open communication channels among all multidisciplinary teams involved throughout each patient’s journey from start-to-finish until discharge or transfer respectively when appropriate.
