Join Our Team: Part-Time Medical Administrators – VMG Clinic
VMG Clinic is a veteran-owned and operated family practice committed to improving access to high-quality healthcare for ADF families and veterans. We specialise in delivering slow medicine — care that is thoughtful, culturally competent, and centred on long-term wellbeing.
Our services are delivered through a combination of in-clinic consultations, home visits, outreach services, and telehealth, allowing us to meet patients where they are and provide genuine continuity of care.
We are currently seeking two Part-Time Medical Administrators to join our growing and values-driven team.
This role offers flexibility, with applicants able to work either:
* Monday to Wednesday, or
* Wednesday to Friday
Some Saturday morning work will also be required, along with occasional travel to our satellite clinic in Katherine.
About You
You are organised, approachable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment. You bring:
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to multitask and manage competing demands
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* A warm, professional, and friendly manner
* A strong commitment to patient confidentiality
* Competency with the Microsoft Office suite
* A current Ochre Card, or willingness to obtain one
* Applicants must hold valid legal work rights in Australia
Previous medical administration experience is desirable but not essential. Bookkeeping or accounts administration experience will also be highly regarded. This role is suitable for both experienced administrators and entry-level candidates looking to build a career in healthcare administration.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting both patients and clinicians, with responsibilities including:
* Coordinating appointments for new and existing patients
* Managing incoming phone calls and emails
* Sending referrals and following up on medical correspondence
* Completing administrative tasks such as uploading reports, invoicing, and general accounts administration
* Supporting doctors to ensure smooth clinic operations
* Liaising with medical professionals and coordinating meetings
* Assisting with outreach and satellite clinic administration as required
