Kanda is growing across the Gold Coast and we're looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team across both Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Supported Independent Living (SIL) services.
Whether you enjoy the fast-paced nature of an SDA shared support environment or prefer building meaningful one-on-one relationships within SIL homes, you'll be supported by experienced leaders, comprehensive training, and a team that genuinely values the important work you do.

What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your experience and the program you work within, your responsibilities may include:
SDA Shared Support (10:1 Programs)
* Provide responsive support to multiple participants living within modern SDA accommodation
* Work collaboratively within a team-based environment to promote participant independence
* Assist with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks as required
* Respond to planned and unplanned support needs while maintaining participant choice and control
Supported Independent Living (SIL) Programs (1:1 Support)
* Deliver person-centred support to participants living in SIL homes across the Gold Coast
* Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, medication assistance, and household tasks
* Support participants to develop independent living skills and achieve individual goals
* Promote community participation, social inclusion, and meaningful engagement in everyday activities
* Maintain accurate documentation and work collaboratively with families, guardians, and allied health professionals where required
About You
* Has experience working as a Disability Support Worker, Support Worker, Community Support Worker, or similar role
* Demonstrates empathy, resilience, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills
* Can maintain professional boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships
* Has strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills
* Holds a valid P2 or Open Driver Licence and has access to a reliable, insured vehicle (travel across Greater Brisbane required)
* Has full working rights in Australia
* Is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Is willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
* Is open to completing required NDIS training and ongoing learning opportunities
