This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Australia's largest public pathology provider!
We are looking for a talented, proactive and committed Human Resources Consultant, to join our high performing team. The successful applicant will act as the backbone of our team and the first point of contact for HR queries, providing accurate advice on policies and processes, and having the confidence to jump in and help the team with all administrative and generalist HR work. This is an onsite role, predominately based at Westmead Hospital however you will have the opportunity to work across the majority of Hospitals within Metropolitan Sydney.
Through our People, Pathology plays a crucial part of the NSW Health System, offering clinical, forensic, research and public health testing across numerous Laboratories and Collections Centres, supporting medical decisions, criminal justice, and public health responses.
What you'll be doing
Providing a diverse range of Human Resource (HR) functions, including general HR advice, coaching and consultancy services to support managers and staff to deliver an HR service for NSW Health Pathology.

Application Questions
* Appropriate qualifications and/or experience in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations or qualifications and/or experience deemed equivalent.
* Demonstrated proficient computer literacy, preferably using Microsoft Office Applications, NSW Health payroll/HRIS system including the ability to manipulate and interpret data into reports and spreadsheets and/or demonstrated capability to develop such knowledge within a reasonable period of time.
* Knowledge and competence with regard to Award, payroll and employee contract matters as they relate to NSW Health and/or demonstrated capability to develop such knowledge within a reasonable period of time.
* Demonstrated experience in conducting workplace grievance investigations with the ability to apply procedural fairness principles, maintain confidentiality, analyse evidence objectively, and prepare clear, well-reasoned investigation reports in line with organisational policies.
* A sound understanding of strategic and operational human resources and employee relations and a commitment to the development of contemporary HR business solutions with a proven capacity to work independently and manage conflicting priorities and stakeholders (including unions).
* Demonstrated sound analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to manage high‐volume HR queries through strong time management and prioritisation, and experience supporting change management initiatives within complex environments.
