CarSauce is one of Australia's fastest-growing automotive media brands, reaching millions monthly across video and written content. Our videos receive between 2-3 million monthly views, and our website traffic is set to hit ******* views for the first time by the end of November from a mostly Aussie audience
We produce objective, engaging news and reviews, and we're expanding our written team to meet rapid audience growth.
We're looking for a Deputy Automotive Content Editor – an experienced automotive journalist with strong editorial instincts, fast news judgment, and the ability to deliver high-quality reviews.
This role shapes day-to-day coverage across news and reviews, supports junior writers, and helps drive the editorial direction of CarSauce.com.
What You'll Do
Write and publish fast, accurate, high-quality automotive news daily.
Deliver detailed, objective new-car reviews.
Help shape editorial strategy, voice, and content priorities.
Manage and assist in reviewing, editing, and guiding work from junior writers.
Identify breaking stories, exclusives, and industry trends.
Attend local and international launches, press events, and interviews.
Build strong OEM and industry relationships.
Manage press-car logistics where needed (pickups, drop-offs, fuelling, cleaning).
Maintain consistent, unbiased, and accurate reporting across all content.
What We're Looking For
Strong experience as an automotive journalist with a deep understanding of the Australian and global automotive industry.
Strong review-writing skills and the ability to translate technical topics for consumers.
Excellent editing, fact-checking, and headline-writing ability.
Ability to work quickly, independently, and to tight deadlines.
Strong organisation and news judgment – a real news hound
Comfortable frequently travelling locally and internationally for launches and events.
Full driver's licence (manual proficiency required).
