Within recent years, our client has experienced exceptional growth year on year. Due to growth, we're seeking a Supervisor - Electrical Fire Services to join the team. This role will be based in Tamworth, however DIDO, accommodation and roster can be negotiated for the right candidate.
The role:
* Project and Site Management
* Oversee the daily operations of the fire detection and alarm system installation team.
* Coordinate with other trades and site supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any conflicts.
* Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
* Monitor project progress and report to the Project Manager.
* Manage and procure necessary materials and equipment.
* Team Leadership and Supervision
* Lead a team of fire technicians and installers.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of work and adherence to safety standards.
* Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
* Manage team performance.
* Compliance and Safety
* Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, FER, AS and AS
* Implement and enforce strict workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures.
* Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks.
* Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
* Stakeholder Communication
* Liaise with clients, builders, engineers, and other stakeholders.
* Attend site meetings and provide updates on project status.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with all parties involved.
What we're looking for:
* A trade qualification in a relevant field, such as electrotechnology, is often required. Certifications in fire detection and alarm systems are highly desirable.
* A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the fire protection industry.
* A thorough understanding of fire detection, alarm, and emergency communication systems.
* In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards, especially AS and AS 1670.4, and the NCC.
* Demonstrable experience in the programming, commissioning, and fault-finding of advanced networkable fire indicator panels, with specific proficiency in the Notifier NFS2-3030 system being highly advantageous.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficiency in project management software.
* A current driver's license.
* Drivers licence
* A White Card (Construction Induction Card)
