About The Role
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) – Clinical Risk Resource Nurse (CRRN) to join the team.
The CRRN coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients and clients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia National Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, the CNS2 classification criteria within the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award, and the relevant Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) policies and procedures.
This role provides expert clinical advice and support to nursing staff, other health professionals and patients across the facility after hours, helping ensure safe, effective and responsive care across wards and services.
Working closely with the After Hours Nurse Manager (AHNM), the CRRN supports the delivery of safe clinical care and assists in addressing identified clinical care issues. The role also provides direct clinical assistance to staff and supports capability development through coaching and role modelling in practice. This includes fostering the skills and knowledge of novice and advanced beginner nurses and supporting other health professionals as required to deliver high-quality patient care.
