The Role
As our Cellar Door Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the cellar door and wine club experience. You'll lead and inspire a passionate team to deliver exceptional customer service, promote wine knowledge, and drive wine sales and memberships. You'll help shape the guest journey from the moment they walk through our doors, creating an engaging and educational experience in one of Victoria's most picturesque wine destinations.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves people, wine, and hospitality, and thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE OPEN TO PART TIME (30hours) or FULL TIME (38 hours) for this role.
During your role, you will:
* Lead tastings and host tour groups, sharing engaging stories and expert wine knowledge.
* Supervise and support the cellar door team, fostering a high-performing, service-driven culture.
* Train staff on wine education, customer service, and sales techniques.
* Drive wine sales and wine club membership (with a monthly sales target).
* Assist with managing cellar door operations, including POS, daily cash handling, and stock rotation.
* Ensure compliance with OH&S, food safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
* Work collaboratively with the restaurant, events, and winemaking teams to create seamless guest experiences.
* Maintain a strong focus on team training, culture, and continuous improvement.

About You
To thrive in this role, you will:
* Proven experience in wine sales, hospitality, or front-of-house operations
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and nurturing team culture
* Wine knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing it with others (WSET Level 1 or Level 2 preferred)
* Confidence with POS systems and Microsoft Office
* A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Food Safety certification
* Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and across a 7-day rotating roster
* Reliable transport to and from the Yarra Valley
