At the heart of CommBank's business banking platform, the Payments Technology crew in CommBiz are reimagining how Australian businesses move money securely, instantly, and at scale.
We power one of the most complex and critical systems in the bank, facilitating trillions in payments annually and processing a third of Australia's payroll.
From real-time Fast Payments to global transactions, our engineers are modernising legacy infrastructure, embracing cloud-native architecture, and building the next generation of payment rails.

Your Impact and Contribution
As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll work across the full stack and full software lifecycle, designing .NET-based microservices, crafting React.js front ends, and embedding observability and security into everything you build. You'll also lead the development of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, and integrate your solutions into a hybrid, multi-cloud enterprise ecosystem.
What You'll Bring
* Expertise in .NET (C#) back-end development and React.js front-end frameworks.
* Experience building and maintaining microservices in a secure, scalable architecture.
* Strong DevSecOps mindset with hands-on experience embedding observability tools (e.g. OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
* Proven ability to design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and YAML workflows.
* Familiarity with secure coding practices, code scanning, and automated testing in CI/CD flows.
* Experience integrating solutions into complex enterprise environments spanning Azure, AWS, and on-prem infrastructure.
* A collaborative spirit and a passion for mentoring and technical leadership.
